How these estimates work

Possible stops last at least two minutes with samples staying within 25 m of the initial point. GPS drift and very slow movement can affect this estimate. Sampling intervals over 90 seconds and the watch restart are unknown time, not stops. Moving time is observed time minus possible stops.

Pace and grade use a 250 m window. Climbing totals use the existing 100 m-smoothed GPX elevation. Night distance and time at altitude use 100 m route bins, exclude unknown intervals, and approximate the thresholds. Heart rate, raw cadence and watch temperature come from the original GPX and are shown only near available readings. Cadence is not doubled; watch temperature is not an air-temperature observation. Weather, physiological effort, race position and technical trail difficulty are not inferred.
