I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I just now learned that changing the version number in the
style.css file of your wordpress theme will cause the browser to request the newer version of the file. No more requesting your client to do a hard reload via
ctrl + shift + r or clearing their browser cache (something I found extremely difficult to do on my smartphone, but maybe it is just the age getting to me. )
/*! Theme Name: MY_THEME Author: Travis Pence Author URI: http://travispence.com Description: Description Version: 1.0.1 // <-- Change this version to bust the cache. License: GNU General Public License v2 or later */
I do not believe this method works if you are using a cache plugin or the cache is controlled by your hosting provider.
